Your right to a free interpreter in the NHS
This is the guide worth leading with, because a client who knows they can ask for an interpreter gets more out of every appointment that follows.
It explains that providing an interpreter is the provider's legal duty and free to the patient, how to ask for one at registration and again when booking, and why relying on a family member or a child to interpret is a poor idea. It also covers what to do if no interpreter turns up on the day.
The full guidance is written in Persian for the people using it. Switch to فارسی to read it.
